Murmuring wordlessly, soothingly, I crawled on top of him, settling between his legs, pushing his shirt up until it was gathered beneath his arms, our chests pressed together.

I'd been right here, I nearly reminded him, but I knew exactly what he meant. Our lives had been turned upside down, and being together like this hadn't felt possible. But now, it all rushed back, the warmth of him, the comfort of it.
